Hiatus

What's new? Woah. Talk about busy life of college. (If someone goes to a design school and says she/he's busy, trust them. Seriously)

I've started college in LaSalle majoring in fashion design and let's just say I haven't got an abundance of free time, which, I was expecting, and this is exactly what I want, so I can't complain. The beginning of college didn't go as smooth as I wanted, I always feel like I'm not doing good enough. But shit happens, and if you get knocked down, all you gotta do is get your ass back up, right? Anyways, not gonna talk about my feelings. So... things have been pretty hectic this past month. I completely forgot about this blog and haven't updated since... As long as I can remember. But in addition to the not-so-fabulous-life of a fashion student, there are exciting things that happened and one thing that'll probably be one of the highlights of my life.

1. I stayed in Vancouver for a month for homestay. It was an amazing, priceless, and even emotional experience. I consider this as a real experience in my life. Because this is the first time that I went abroad by myself. By myself I mean going from airport to another airport, being on the plane by myself. It was an interesting experience because I felt somewhat more mature. Haha!

I'm not gonna go into in-depth-details about my whole trip. I'm just gonna put some pictures.

Pre-Pride Parade madness. How crowded is this place?

Aloha, my house mate

At Vancouver Aquarium. Oh and this is Yurina from Japan. I knew her from the orientation day in school.

Vancouver Aquarium. Yeah. Only those two pictures. There's way too many...

At Canada Place with Yurina And my friend from Brazil, Tajide.

Lynn Canyon Park with my Korean peeps

The oh-so-famous donuts of Deep Cove

Oh hey there's me at Deep Cove Harbour

Calamari by the dock and good company @ Granville Island

I came to Vancouver to eat chewy junior... not.. Hahaha!

Oh just a bunch of my school mates

The time my school mates and I went to Victoria + The Butchart Gardens

Last day of school with my classmates. This was a really sad day. I didn't want to leave :(

Post-graduation stroll + gigantic pho + photobooth with my sweetest Korean peeps. They're seriously the best.

OK OK OK... These 2 pictures go together. On my last day of school, my teacher gave me this card. I read it and I seriously was sobbing while reading it. The second picture is my post-crying face. HAHA! Whut? That was pretty damn emotional okay.
(Oh and by the way, this is my Korean bestie Moonbin. She's the cutest)

I don't know. Moonbin took this picture of me and I kinda really dig it. LoL

This was my very last day in Vancouver at English Bay with Hayley and Helen. Was really bummed out that I had to leave.

2. I have found my spirit animal; Blackbear

Not a fan of R&B but his music has gotten me head over heels. I was listening to this album the whole time I was in Vancouver. Just.. Listen. And you're welcome.

3. I changed my hair color to hot pink which I never really thought of doing. Ever since I got my hair dyed, I always thought dark blue was the only color that would fit me, and that was the only color I was gonna go for. But my hair has been going through to really peculiarly kick-ass color fading stages, which I did not expect. Oh! I don't think I have mentioned anything about my ombre hair in this blog. I thought it would be a good idea to show my hair transformations from the very beginning that I had it dyed till now. So here they are:

This was the first color, I was using voodoo blue by manic panic. I was expecting the result to be a little bit darker cause that was the kind of color I was going for, but this turned out pretty cool tho. Also, I got it done at BloBar Salon Kemang. It was a tideous process which took about 8 hours. Yeah. You heard me. 8 hours. Talk about patience.

Just thought it looks cool braided and all. Hah!

The blue faded out resulting this really in-your-face green which I wasn't really fond of. I kept this color on for quite some time hoping that it would fade lighter and somewhat gone, but it stayed like this for a long time so I decided it's time to layer it with a different color.

Ah.. This was precisely the color I was going for. I used shocking blue also by manic panic. Just exactly how I wanted it to be. My sister did it for me this time, cause all I had to do is layer the color. Nothing much to say, really.

The blue faded and this is the result. Pretty cool eh?!?!
It eventually became more and more pale to the point where I could actually layer it with a completely different color.

My current hair color. I love the way the color turned out. I also had my hair cut before turning it to pink. I used hot hot pink by manic panic.

4. Last one. Are you ready? Are you...? Hhhmm??

I'M GOING TO LANEWAY FESTIVAL ON JANUARY 30TH! WWWOOOOOOOOO!!!11!11!1

I have seriously been waiting to go but haven't really got the chance and now I'm finally going and I'm just super psyched and and and got nothing else to say. I guess all I can say is... See you soon Lauren Mayberry?!?

UGH. So excited yo.

Peace out. Have a good one.

Nocturnal

Guess what? I have returned with another (surprise, surprise) music post. Lately I've been having the crappiest, most unorganized sleeping schedule I've ever had since forever ago. I'm not entirely sure why do I keep going to sleep at such late hours, nor do I give any sorts of concerns to my body.

Funny story, A few months back I promised myself to sleep no longer than 10PM, but pretty much failed. For the past three days I've been sleeping at 1AM on school days, which leads to a conclusion that I've only got 3,5 hours of sleep. But other than that, I'm relieved exam week is finally over, although I'm still pretty stressed out about school. But on the bright side, I have somehow managed to gather a bunch of songs and I'd like to share it, ya know, to cease this seemingly incessant stress of mine, and hopefully yours too, for a little while. Enjoy.

A Day In Pictures : Kebun Raya Bogor

The dreadful week of final exam which seemed like forever is finally over and I found myself thinking that a weekend getaway slash refreshment was solely the only thing I craved immediately after having my brain fallen into the deep hole of never-ending studying. With that being said, today I decided to take a short trip to Bogor (again) by train with my friend Septi. We took heaps of pictures but I just don't feel like it's all that necessary to upload all of them, since I don't wish to bore you with my face (hah!).

Bangkok Trip

This is a really really late post just because I wasn't planning to post about it but eh, might as well share a few pictures. So this is when I went to Bangkok for 4 days in January. Pictures above are when we were at this temple which I don't remember the name because we went to two different temples and I forget which one's which. Also, we went to (I think) two different palaces which I honestly didn't enjoy that much.. But then we went to Trick Art Museum which was probably the highlight of my entire trip. Bangkok Trick Art Museum is probably the BEST Trick Art Museum, like, ever. Even better than the one in Korea. Sadly, the pictures are in my brother's camera so I don't have them with me. Just, ugh. Amazing. Even in front of the toilet there's this projector from the ceiling that shoots down the floor with different settings. Like this photo below, when you step on the flower, they spread out. Who makes this stuff, seriously? It's like, magic. Hah.

Picture above is taken at Madame Tussauds
