Favorites of October

October is nearly coming to an end, I figured I'd show you my favorites for the past month, which include beauty favorites, makeup, fashion, and even music. I was so inspired to make this post by a lot of beauty gurus on YouTube, and I decided to post my first every product reviews. Hope this will help you find something interesting!

Here are some of my favorites of the month, I will list them randomly:

1. Sinful Colors nail polish in #282
2. H&M three-piece bracelets
3. Etude House Dear Darling Tint in #03 (Real Red)
4. Yankee Candles (Strawberry & Fresh Cut Roses)
5. Sally Hansen Cuticle Massage Cream
6. Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Powder
7. Planner from Scoop
8. Smith Western's 'Soft Will' album

---------------------------------------------------------------

I'm going to do a brief review on each of the products:

1. Sinful Colors nail polish in #282

Just a beautiful sheer coral blue with a hint of glitters nail polish my cousin gave me from USA. Definitely reminds me of the movie Aquamarine. We simply cannot resist the beauty of this color. It's like magic in a bottle, almost.

2. H&M three-piece bracelets

Before I bought these bracelets, I had been looking for the perfect sized bracelets like these. Not too exaggerated, but still gives the perfect addition to my wrists. I was looking around H&M and then I found these! It's quite inexpensive and it's just the perfect design. It costs IDR 59.000 which is a pretty good deal if you get three bracelets at once. At first I thought I only got two, but when I looked inside my bag, it turned out that there was another one. They're lovely and they go perfectly if you wear them all at once.

3. Etude House Dear Darling Tint in #03 (Real Red)

Okay so I had been looking for a good lip product, since I have fairly pale lips. I finally got my hands on the nude NYX matte lipstick. It was the perfect shade, but not the perfect shade for my lips. The nude color just completely washes out my face. So I figured that I needed a deeper, perhaps darker color for my lips. I was also looking for a lip product without some kind of weird texture or shine, which is why I went for the matte lipstick. A while ago I found out about this product that people had been raving about. Yes, the one and only lip tint. I know Benefit sells all kinds of tints, but Benefit's products are ridiculously expensive, so I just wouldn't give up my money on something unnecessarily expensive. Luckily, I found this lip tint from Etude House online for a cheap price (IDR 60.000). The moment I applied it onto my lips I was very happy and overwhelmed. It absorbs into my lips right away without leaving any weird texture. I love love love the color of this. The color is very natural, you can build it up until you get the desired red color, or you can just apply a little layer and it'll just look absolutely natural. I love this product. Totally will repurchase.

4. Yankee Candles (Strawberry & Fresh Cut Roses)

Unfortunately I took off the plastic off the candles, so they look less attractive now... As you can see I've only used a little bit, but I also have been using another scented candle which I purchased at ACE Hardware.
I have always loved scented candles to death! They give my room such a good vibe and whenever I lit up my scented candles, I always feel like I'm in a different place. I particularly like sweet scents such as the ones that I have here, but every time I sniff every scent in the store I want to get my hands on all those babies. I just feel very happy when my room smells divine.

5. Sally Hansen Cuticle Massage Cream

I love love love this cream. Extremely moisturizing, and smells really delicious (yes, I did say delicious. Delicious as though I want to eat it). I have very dry cuticles and fingers in general, so the skin around my nails just starts to peel off and so uncomfortable to look at, even painful at times. So I was looking for a good intense moisturizing cream and saw this cuticle cream at Watsons's. I was pretty optimistic about this product because Sally Hansen products are specially made for nails and hands in general. So I got it, and the first time I used this I noticed a huge difference. My dry skin was nearly gone. I have been using this every single day and now my cuticles are super smooth. Definitely recommended if you're looking for a good cuticle cream.

6. Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Powder

I have a very oily skin. And this powder gets the job done pretty well. It is a mineral loose powder with a refreshing mint-y sensation, feels very nice on my skin. My skin is left extra soft, and it does absorb the oil on my face. The powder is white, but you don't need to worry about it. It is very transparent and won't leave any white cast on your face. I personally like the packaging, it's small so it can fit in a pouch, and it's small, but you get quite a lot of product in there. Just a very light powder that you can even wear to school.

9. Planner from Scoop

Got this uber cute planner from Scoop, a store in Lippo Mall Kemang. If you love pastel colors, anything floral, or everything cute in general, this store is heaven on earth for you. The store is packed with loads of adorable stuff.
Anyway, about the planner. This planner contains everything you could possibly need. A yearly planner, monthly planner, weekly planner, notes, everything is basically in there. Just the perfect planner for me, since I like to write everything down. They also come in different designs and colors.

8. Soft Will - Smith Westerns

This album isn't exactly my October favorite, it's my all time favorite album. Just thought I needed to show the world how brilliant this album is. Kind of reminds me of fall, actually (although I don't live in a four seasoned country, ha).I am genuinely in love with all the songs in this album, very beautifully written and the music is very soothing, definitely better than their previous album, 'Dye It Blonde'. This album is so perfect causing me to get all emotional every time I listen to the songs. Go look it up and you'll thank me later. Soft Will is perfection. No Joke. Period.

Here is the track listing of the album:

1.  3 A.M. Spiritual
2.  Idol
3.  Glossed
4.  XXIII
5.  Fool Proof
6.  White Oath
7.  Only Natural
8.  Best Friend
9.  Cheer Up
10. Varsity

Roseate

After quite succeeded in making my previous outfit, I decided to make another one. And this time I made a two-piece using the same fabric. This outfit was inspired by Nikicio's Femme Resort 2013 Collection (just, different fabrics of course). There isn't really anything much to say, all I can say is that I finished this outfit in a brief 7 days.

That Breeze

We all know that one thing we can never get enough of... Yes, the one and only Hawaiian prints. Everyone has to at least own one item with a hawaiian print on it. Especially these light, breathable, comfortable, and not to mention super stylish Nike Solar Moccasin "Hawaiian Prints" kicks. I know these babies went on sale at Nike retailers starting July 20, but I just recently found out about this eye-catching collection of Nike and I thought it would be cool to share, no?

Band Crush: Haim

For these past few weeks I've been listening to Haim's (American rock band) songs. If you didn't know, Haim makes such good music I'm sure you won't get tired of. And what appeals to me the most is that they're all sisters. (Este Haim, Danielle Haim, and Alana Haim.) They recently released a new single titled "The Wire".

Radar: Édition de Beauté

It's been quite a while since I've talked about my cravings and must haves and etc etc, I figured now it's time to do another, since at this moment I kid you not, I am wanting too many things. But this time it is beauty edition, exciting! Okay so these products have probably been on the market for years but I am just recently obsessed with beauty products  (because recently I watch a lot of beauty gurus' videos on YouTube and I've got to admit, they can be pretty addicting). So here are just some of the things I've been wanting to get. I'm going to start off with:

1. LUSH Bubblegum Lip Scrub

Just by the look of it, I definitely want to eat it. I knew this product a couple months back from Ingrid Nilsen (a beauty guru from YouTube known as missglamorazzi). The one that she owns is the popcorn lip scrub but I found this bubble gum one from the internet and I instantly fell in love with it. The color (if you are close with me you pretty much know how obsessed I am with pink) and the shave iced-like texture is divine. I haven't touched this product or seen this in real life so as you can tell.. Yeah, I still judge a book by its cover.

2. NYX Matte Lipstick

Not a big fan of makeup, but I am such a sucker for nude or peachy color, especially matte ones. I want this lipstick because it has a very subtle color that won't make my lips stand out too much, so it'll turn out nicely. If you didn't know, I am telling you this: NYX has the best, I mean, the best lip color shades ever. They also have different kinds of lip products which attract me the most. A few days ago I went to Debenhams to swatch some matte lipsticks on my hand because I was very very curious about how the colors will turn out like in real life, since I had been searching NYX lipstick products all over the internet. They have just the perfect shades and I am in love. Definitely getting this the next time I go to Debenhams.

3. Bath and Bodyworks Coconut Lime Breeze Body Lotion

I am also a sucker for body lotions. I love everything with fragrance. And lately I've been obsessing over anything related to coconuts. Something about coconuts' smell is just fresh and relaxing yet not too overpowering which I really love. Nothing much to say about this product. It's just a really great product and smells amazing.

4. Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution Serum

This is a little bit unusual for me to want something related to skin care products. I first knew this product from an Indonesian blogger and shoe entrepreneur Diana Rikasari. The reason I wanted to get this was because I have an acne prone and very oily skin so basically everything breaks me out. And every time my pimples would always leave red or dark spots which is highly uncomfortable to look at. And this product says that it helps to lighten uneven pigmentations on your skin and this product has a lot of good reviews. The only downside is the price. It costs around Rp 500.000 here in Indonesia. Okay just a little story, I saved my money for this, and when it was the day to buy it, I went to the store, and when I finally got in front of the store I immediately turned around and went, "nah" and I ended up buying a concealer which helps a little bit too, but I think this serum would get the job done even better. But for the price, well, I'm going to have to think about it first.

5. Butter London Nail Polish

I have been obsessing over this shade of color for a long time and probably won't stop. These colors look so delicious that I want to eat it. There are a lot of nail polish products here in Indonesia, but I feel like only Butter has the perfect caramel-y shades. Although I don't know if they sell these in Indonesia. I would love to buy one. Or even three of them! I haven't tried this nail polish nor read the reviews so I can't really judge the quality of it. But overall, amazing color. Magnifique.

BONJOUR À TOUS!

This holiday since I'm not going anywhere for vacation I decided to try to make some clothes and I succeed! The result came out just the way I visioned it. I didn't have enough time to make more than one cause unfortunately I only have 2 weeks of holiday (I know, it sucks) but I'm going to try to make more during the upcoming holiday and I'll make sure I'll post the pics and the patterns I made etc etc. And not only that, I also intended to make transparent clutches (one of them was Christopher Kane's Gel Clutch which I failed making it ha) and something holographic-y if that makes sense. Okay so let's begin with an oversized shirt I just finished. (Oh just thought you should know: Yes, I made it all by myself from scratch. That is, starting from making the pattern. And, I'm still learning to sew, so there's still some imperfections that I need to work on, plus I took the pictures by myself, so excuse my lack of expertise). Enjoy!

So I was looking around fabric stores to find the perfect fabric to make the shirt. I was very excited when I saw linen which is my all time favorite fabric. Linen is basically perfect for anything. Clothing, pencil case, book cover, etc etc. So I simply got three colors. Okay so without further ado, here are the pictures:

Special thanks to my friend Chika Armenia for willing to do this shoot :)

For the second part I'm just going to show the pictures, so here they are:

 Transparent Clutch

Neon transparent vinyl I used to make the clutch

Holographic Tote Bag

Saw this in the store and was super excited!! The lady at the store gave me the fabric samples of the holographic fabrics and the colorful transparent vinyl too :D (I will try to upload the pictures though)

My messy working table lol

That's pretty much what I did during the holiday, hope you like what you saw!
